Munn and Felton’s Works Band based in Kettering who first won the National in London in 1935 with William Halliwell conducting “Pride of Race” (incidentally, the year Fodens were barred due to their previous three successive wins!).

The band were recorded in January 1936 conducted by Stanley Boddington, who served the band for over forty years. One of the all time favourites – the Finale from Rossini’s William Tell Overture.

In the 1960’s the band become known as the famous GUS Footwear Band. To-day they are the Travelsphere Holidays Band.
